Donors and Volunteers
Foundation involvement is easy
So now you'd like to support the Community Foundation, enriching the lives of everyone within the Farmington Hills and Farmington communities. Great, here's how...
Our General Fund
Support worthwhile grants in the Farmington area
The General Undesignated Fund (GUF) supports the main activities of the Foundation. Donations to this fund provide the grant funding that helps us support the many worthwhile organizations in our community that you've read about, and operate the Foundation.
Our Endowment Fund
Long term support for our community
In 2007 the Foundation’s Capital Development Committee established an initial goal of one million dollars for the Endowment Fund. Thanks to a Challenge Grant from the Farmington Hills Economic Development Corporation and the generosity of individuals, groups and businesses in the community, we are one-third of the way there. The Endowment Fund assures that the Foundation will be around to achieve its vision of being the premier resource to programs that inspire and enrich a vibrant community.
The Legacy Club
Helping the Foundation reach its Endowment Fund goal
In 2005 the Foundation established the Legacy Club , a growing donor group of select individuals and businesses helping us attain our long-term Endowment Fund goals. Levels of participation range from $25,000 to $1,000, and Legacy Club members will be publicly recognized for their contributions. What a wonderful way to leave a legacy for the children, youth and families of our community!

Our Designated Fund
Cultural diversity in action
Donations may also be made to a Designated Fund, set up through the Foundation on behalf of particular community organizations. Currently there are Designated Funds for the After School Program, the Farmington/Farmington Hills Multicultural Multiracial Community Council, and the Minority Student Achievement Network. Several additional funds have been set up through the Farmington Public Schools including the Barbara Dubb Scholarship, the the Don Howell Fund, and the Community Service Fund.
