Foundation thanks the community for another successful Duck Race.
“The Board of Trustees of the Farmington/Farmington Hills Foundation for Youth and Families would like to take the time to thank the community for supporting the 9th Annual Duck Race” says this year’s Duck Race Chair, David Pniewski.
The 9th Annual Duck Race took place at Shiawassee Park where the community came together to dance to music provided by School of Rock, enjoy burger samples from Basement Burger Bar and cool off with ice cream from Hudsonville Ice Cream. Many volunteers like North Congregational Church were on hand to share bottles of water as well.
“Ticket sales, sponsorships, partnerships and participation were all impressive this year which sends the message that the community cares about the Foundation and is paying attention to the work we do.” says Foundation Executive Director Eunice Jeffries. “We will award several mini-grants this year to organizations that sold 25 tickets or more which are unrestricted funds for those organizations.”
